Classic season in the U.P. is short, sweet, and painful: 80 miles of bad road under the nastiest April weather mother nature can cook up. Director of the fourth annual Ronde van Skandia, Tom Maheny, is once again compiling a list of the roughest, dog-infested, head-wind-cursed roads the south side of Marquette has to offer in his quest to match the hallowed grounds of Northern Europe in a race contested in the tradition of a spring classic. The event is scheduled for April 17. Two-time winer Wes Pernsteiner (Chocolay-Ace) will be going for the hat trick this year. It won't be a walk in the park though: there has been some serious training going on in the Sisu Cyclces ranks, and the Red Jackets and Team Dorfblick just might suprise as well. Check out the
