		<description>The route is going to have a ton of pavement in it, and I expect that almost everybody will be riding road or cyclocross bikes.  There will be a few sections of gravel roads, but they should still be easily ridable on 23c road tires.  More information about the course can be found at: http://www.bikethekeweenaw.com/race/race_news.html, including a preliminary route.  

The inspiration for the ride is definitely the European Spring Classics, like Paris-Roubaix.  It&#039;s definitely a road ride, but one you&#039;ll get dirty on!  And the party in Copper Harbor will make it all worth it.</description>
